A young vulture once made an unusual request to its father:
“Papa, I want to taste human flesh!”
Within this innocent-sounding plea lies a chilling reflection of the brutal reality of our society.
The father vulture gently replied, “Alright, I’ll bring you some by evening.”
But of course, human flesh isn’t something you find in the marketplace every day.
First, the father vulture brought back pork.
The child was disappointed—“Papa, this is pig meat! I asked for human flesh!”
Next, the father returned with beef.
Still unhappy, the young one protested—“This is cow meat!”
That’s when the father vulture turned to strategy.
He placed the pork beside a mosque and the beef beside a temple, then flew up to a tree branch and waited.
It didn’t take long.
Fires ignited, mobs erupted, and chaos broke out between two communities.
Blood flowed, innocent lives were lost, and amid the carnage, the vultures descended to feast on human flesh.
The young vulture, astonished, asked,
“Papa, where did all this human meat come from?”

The father vulture smiled and replied,
“Humans are a species that can be made to kill one another in the name of religion and politics. The Creator made them the most intelligent beings, but they destroy each other with their emotions, hatred, and divisions. We simply reap the rewards.”
Still curious, the young one asked,
“But why did you use religion? Couldn’t you have used politics instead?”
The father explained,
“Politics works slowly—the results take time. But religion stirs emotions instantly. And you wanted your meal today, didn’t you?”
Though this may be just a parable, its mirror reflects a disturbing reality.
Religion, politics, ethnicity, and community—these were all meant for human welfare. But when they are turned into weapons, they write history in blood.
