According to Ambassador Al Hamoudi, the UAE is currently issuing an average of 30 to 50 visas daily to Bangladeshi citizens. Furthermore, visa processing for business delegations has been expedited, aiming to strengthen both diplomatic and public relations between the two nations.
Major Boost for Skilled Workers
In a particularly encouraging move, the UAEâs Ministry of Human Resources has reopened the online visa application process for skilled laborers. Visas have already been issued for professionals such as marketing managers, hotel staff, and security personnel. The ambassador stated that 500 visas have already been granted to security staff, with another 1,000 approved and awaiting issuance.
âWe are optimistic that visa restrictions for Bangladeshis will be relaxed further in phases,â said the ambassador.
Diplomatic Engagement Praised
Ambassador Al Hamoudi praised the proactive engagement of the Special Envoy in recent months, noting that over half a dozen high-level ministerial meetings have taken place covering a wide range of issues â from easing visa regulations to enhancing investment cooperation.
He also mentioned, âThe UAE will consider all humanitarian and compassionate appeals from the Government of Bangladesh with due attention and flexibility.â
