Life Lesson from the Tale of the Tortoise and the Crab: Jealousy Fails, Hard Work Prevails

Days later, a terrible storm struck the village. The river overflowed, sweeping away much in its path. The crab, trapped in his small burrow, faced mortal danger. Meanwhile, the tortoise took shelter inside his strong shell and survived the storm. Once the skies cleared, he rescued the helpless crab.
Ashamed and remorseful, the crab said,
“I tried to harm you, yet you saved my life.”
The tortoise gently replied,
“Wishing ill upon others can never prevent good from coming to those who work honestly. I believe in hard workâand you can start fresh too.”
This moment changed the crabâs perspective. He finally understood that success is born from effort, not envy. True inspiration should come from othersâ achievements, not jealousy.
